Wedding videos do not have to be tacky. In fact, we're not sure how they wound up that way in the first place. We shoot discretely, strategically and thoughtfully, all while employing an ever-expanding arsenal of the industry's latest gadgets. We are the wedding video company for people who never wanted a wedding video.
TW is a collective of 5 shooters and editors founded by video editor Louis Sparre in 2007. Sparre's editing experience extends well beyond the wedding world. His career began at MTV news as an Asst. Rich Media Editor. Shortly after he moved on to work as the in-house editor/colorist/shooter for the Grammy Nominated "Three On the Tree Productions" where he worked for clients such as Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and others. After 3 Tree he founded "Electric Tweed." At ET he produces videos for such acts as Phoenix, Ida Maria, Travis, interviewed Nobel Prize Winners, filmed international Artist Docs and others.
In 2007 Sparre decides to assemble his own wedding production company based on the NYC Boutique Production Company model with 4 other Philadelphia based shooters. All Tweed shooters have extensive experience in both the Wedding Industry as well as other broadcast formats. All Tweed shooters have attended competitive 4 year Film Schools. All 4 Tweed Shooters are passionate about their craft. All TW shooters use the same equipment and employ the same shooting strategies.
When we shoot we capture the essence of the day without causing discomfort in our subjects. We use the latest DSLR cameras which offer many advantages. The greatest of these is that guests often have no idea that they are being filmed (see "Testomonials" page). Due to the fact that our cameras look like still photography cameras (because they are), most guests assume we're taking pictures. The second advantage is that we don't need any on camera lighting. The third advantage is that we can use the same lenses as your photographers so that your video matches the high quality optics of their work rather than looking like "video" our videos have a more film quality to them. Tweed Weddings also uses hidden microphones and direct feeds to capture the best audio signal possible so that your footage sounds as good as it looks.
